Why are the International POSITIVE Sports Awards Important?
In 2010, in an effort to increase the amount of POSITIVE news to combat a disturbing trend toward negative news, particularly in the world of sports, internationally respected organizations such as Sister Cities International and Rotary International, representing over 1.2 million POSITIVE individuals in over 200 countries, launched an awards program to shine the light on the world’s most positive individuals, organizations and communities.
Celebrate Positive believes that we can change escalating negative thinking in our communities on an international basis. As the Olympics have shown, sports are one of the greatest forms of citizen diplomacy. We invite you to help us with nominations and stories that will help us achieve our mission.
